Hey! I have just recently found out that my baby, Rufus is a rooster and I am unable to keep, but I am keeping his sister Beatrice, Do you think Beatrice, a 5 month old Easter Egger, and Rufus will be okay separated, Rufus and Beatrice have been together since they were 3 days old. I am trading Rufus, a 5 month old Barred Rock rooster, for a 7 month old Rhode Island Red Bantam. Rufus is going to go live with my uncle and he has 2 other roosters and lots of hens, Will they be okay separated? as well as that, I was going to ask for cute names for the new RIR? Thank you!

They'll put up a fuss at first, but most animals fuss when their buddy leaves. A few days and they'll both be fine. No one likes change, but they'll get used to it.

They'll be fine. The bantam and Beatrice will get used to each other. When my duck hatches ducklings, I always end up giving them to different people, and they get along fine.
