Chicken/bird addicted in Germany

Not to bother anyone, but im not sure where to start, like on which thread first with which topic. My flock and I are having a bunch of adventures currently, ranging from "oh no, are these going to be 2 drake mulards" to "can and if so when can the chicks and ducklings overnight together in the small coop," and the related question, "considering that i still dont know if any of my 10 week old chicks are roos, (when) can they move into the big coop with the adult birds (their mom and dad are in that bunch) so that the 6 week old ducklings can soon overnight outside in the smaller coop". Should I just start threads and go wild or what is recommended?

Hi chrissynemetz!

I've been gawking at your cock :lol:/rooster because, well, not only he is quite a looker but he also looks very similar to mine! I'm wondering if you know the breed. I've put a picture of Butch below for comparison. He is, as usual, posing.

When I got him in February, I thought he was a German sperber because I also bought a sperber hen on the same day who looks of course, quite similar. Butch fathered some chicks this spring and I'll be posting soon on if any of those are a Roo, but I'm just wondering what breed I can call him...The pictures of sperber roosters in Germany don't have green tail feathers. Their tails just look like the rest of them, black and white. In your roo's portrait, his tail also seems black and white. Maybe Butch is something totally different?

What do you think? Any ideas?
