Chicken block swap due June 15th

I believe that is Monkey wrench, it told them to get the tools for travel ready

Oh, I love that! Has it already been posted, or do you have the whole story of the meanings? Also, which one is your quilt square as your name had come off. It was just mixed in and I didn't notice which one it was laying on.

Color placement gives it a different look the two most often I've seen are

These two are the same block w/ diff color placement

I love this! I just looks to complicated for me. I love the looks, but I don't have the patience for lots of figuring lay outs. And I know what you mean about color placement. It is amazing the difference in the same pattern. My MIL made these types of quilts all the time, all by hand. She passed last Oct at the age of 97. She stopped quilting around 90, I think, as her eyesight got too bad. I loved watching her, and I tried to hand quilt, but I just don't have the patience. I'm a perfectionist, and if my stitches aren't just so so, I have to take them out. My oldest DD hand quilts, but it takes her a long time with 3 kids, but she eventually gets it done.

I received mine today!

They are so ADORABLE!!! You all are great seamstresses! I love everyone of them! I wish I had thought to put my name on them! Kass, Anna Quilts, Minniechicks and all the others, THANK YOU! I'm so excited! I absolutely love the random stitched ones! I'm going to try that next time. AWESOME everyone! Maybe everyone could tell which one is yours. Mine is the Red hen with zigzag wings and little chicks on the bottom corners.

I've decided that if I can get all of your first names and the state or country you live in, I will have my friend who has an embroidery machine, embroider the name and state on each one. I love the fact that the squares come from all four corners of the country and in between, and from other far off places! I love having things from other places! It is just such a great connection and makes the world seem a little smaller.
Carolyn - Nevada bright green back ground and chickens with a black fabric that has very colorful swirls on it. Matching fabrics are a couple of blues and some perhaps some yellow.

I didn't get any of my own back either but I did get two of a kind on one of them. I guess I need to sew up a block or two for myself. I didn't keep one because I was late getting them out and just shipped them all off.

I think I have drawn up a foundation piecing pattern for the carpenters wheel should make it even easier then the "easy" pattern, won't know for sure until I can try out the pattern though.

Thanks everyone!
I do like the idea of everyone doing a different square on the underground railroad quilt! It is beautiful!
Kassaundra, I got the tweety bird! So cute!
