Chicken block swap due June 15th

Kassaundra, you can also cut the pattern from freezer paper, iron on to back of your fabric, cut 1/4" larger, press under edge then remove paper and use the hem stitch around edge. Good tutes on Youtube.

That sounds intriguingly doable! Definitely have to do a little experimenting w/ that. Thanks.

Do I have to chose just one pattern? There are so many out to try.

I would say no. I would like to try more than one as well. I agree, so many cute ones!

Wanted to share a link with everybody. In trying to finish up my daughter's quilt, I find myself wishing I knew how to do the "Quilt As You Go" method. I looked it up and though its too late for this project, I think future projects will be getting quilted this way.

You could probably get by without the "Heat Press Batting Together" but it would be a bit more work. I have joined batting before by whip stitching. Not difficult at all. The method would be the same only without the tape.

Yes I am going to go with applique, maybe even try the silly chicken paper pieced, and do as many patterns as you like, they are your blocks

Oh, I discovered quilt as you go several years ago, it was mind blowing and life altering, it is the only way I do things now.

I just looked at the link, I've never used that product.

For now I do not have internet connection at my house. DH accidentally had it disconnected. This did free up a lot of time to quilt! I have almost all applique pieces cut out and hope to fuse most of the pieces onto a back ground block tomorrow. Can't wait to see what everyone come sup with. I did not realize that people could make different blocks so mine since they are almost half made will be all the same. So far it looks promising and that is all I will say for now.
