I have just scraped my 3rd block idea for this swap, and going for the next one, I hope I have hair left when they are done.
My local quilt circle tied 3 quilt yesterday, and I brought one home to bind.
I planted my garden and flowers for the patio and set up drip systems for them. Now I just want to crawl to my sewing room and work on this block till I'm happy with it....

Yes, heads, tails, and feet are the most prominent parts in the pics. The bodies are bright floral.

The next blocks are going to have a diff. background. Trying to decide to keep it black/white or to go w/ something different.

Thinking even if I do the second set to stick w/ the same chicken fabric / colors. The paper pieced pattern I made is less stylized than this pattern, but I haven't actually tested the pattern w/ fabric sooooooooo we'll see.
