Looks a whole lot less messy then wood chips, is it? Or did you take the pic right after changing the bedding

Is it alot more expensive?

I get the snazzy pellets. They have no chemicals or fillers. Just pure pressed wood. The cost me 2.00$ for a 40lb bag at my local feed store. They are very easy to clean out. I just scoop it out like cat littter. It's too big for the chicks to eat and soaks up any spills. Which is nice becuse the chicks stay nice and dry untill I get a chance to scoop it out.

My local feed store reccomend it. They keep all there chicks on pellets.

The chicks are now 2 weeks old and have started to jump up and roost on the edge of the box while we clean out the poop.

Uh... Excuse me... where's the pics.
You cant have a 2week announcement and not have pics, I want pics

You can also get those pellets at Wal-Mart, it is sold as natural kitty litter. Gee you can find about anything at Wal-Mart. They actually started selling chicken food, And livestock feed and tack. They are really trying to wipe out the little guy. And I so hate shopping there because of that. I almost wanted to throw a party celebrating that are towm is finally getting a Target. But any waay the wood pellet thing is an awesome idea. Who ever had the post about their birds eating paper towels needs to read this post. Congrades you just gave us all a new idea.
