If you catch it early you can do a quick system flush.  1 teaspoon of epson salt dissolved into 1 ounce of water.  Put 2-8 CC into the crop of the bird depending on size.  A few hours later give a couple CC of molasses.  Start them on vitamin water and any food that they will eat.
I had a group of chicks get into some hidden molded food a couple years ago.  I lost 3, but managed to save the other 7.
A chick recovers faster then an adult.  They also die faster from it if you don't catch it in time.
An adult can take several weeks to fully recover.  Just keep them eating, drinking, and safe.  Some never fully 100% recover, it just depends on how much damage was done.
