Yay! Isn't it great when they start laying? I love collecting eggs from them in the morning - still warm from being laid - and just take them into the house and crack straight into the frying pan!

The shells on these eggs are incredibly hard compared to store bought I noticed. It's hard not to get shells in the pan as well!

I have a question and i hope its allowed ... how old should pullets be when they start producing eggs ???

Mine are currently 7 months old and still eggless !!

Some of my pure RIR birds (Reese/Mohawk line) usually have taken 8 to 9 months before they started laying. They are 7 months old right now and they haven't started laying but my pure RIW's that are the same age as my pure RIR's have just started laying. Good luck and have fun...
