I've wanted to try Russian Orloffs ever since my research for extremely cold hardy chicken breeds and winter layers led me to find it along with Ameraucanas, Buckeyes and Chanteclers. Russian Orloffs are extremely rare in my area, I've been searching my country for three years and two weeks ago my luck finally shone, and now I've got 4 eggs of the breed under a broody hen along with some Ameraucanas and a lone Chantecler egg. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for a fine hatch, and hope to god I have at least one Russian Orloff pullet in the chicks!
