Chicken Breed Selector Test

Thanks for the reply! I've been concerned that the logic wouldn't make perfect sense to everybody. I went back and forth between making it super easy vs. making it super flexible. We obviously need to communicate the instructions better and/or create a "doesn't matter" option.

I've noticed if you select eggs and meat but not dual purpose, you do not get the dual purpose breeds. You get the breeds that are good for eggs or good for meat, not the ones good for both. Maybe change the categories to eggs only, meat only, and eggs and meat.

I've played with it a little more. I tried to make it give me bantam Polish...apparently bantam Polish aren't in the database (or, the filters don't catch it because the database entries are only listed as standard-sized fowl). If I select standard and bantam (+ ornamental, v comb, etc.), I get Polish, but the Polish entries in the database only reflect the large fowl. Someone searching for an ornamental bantam wouldn't get bantam Polish, and that's not cool. How am I supposed to convince folks that Polish are the coolest birds ever if the BYC chicken breed selector doesn't help me out?

ETA: oh, and the button at the bottom to submit your results says "submit you chicken breed search" instead of your. Sorry, that is my ocd editor side being fussy.

I think yours work great as an identifier if you already have a bird but don't know the breed - but maybe a tad more technical than the other one linked here...
