try and keep her with a few eggs about the same age (laid 2-3 days apart) after that once the first eggs hatch she will just abandon all the eggs that haven't hatched yet.

Had a long afternoon went to check on the hens and all the eggs were gone, one of the builders decided to go help himself to all the eggs. I am still very upset, but I see Molly laid two eggs already.

The pups are settling in nicely my sister and her husband fell in love with Toks and sleeps by them now.

Does anyone have advice on diy incubators, we are doing one for the girls school project.

I took an old cooler box and placed a lamp, small bowl of water and a thermometer as per instruction (also washed everything with Virukill so its sterilized). My sister suggested we replace the lid with a sheet of glass so we can see what is happening without opening the box too much.

As soon as the temp is right Im going to put some eggs in from the broody girls (We have about 8 eggs now since this morning) maybe two from the Ausies and two from the Koekoeks.

I really hope its a success the girls are so excited about this.

So we got a taste of Africa last night, car got broken into, but thankfully only the radio was taken. Getting a bit tired of this...
