@Nanna34 sounds good, I'll give it some thought:)
I won my gran over and she now wants chickens, which is great for me cause she's got a lot more space than we do so maybe I can then utilize it for more chooks

@Gwyllm Raptor is Bantam I know they grow to be quite round but still short in height.Chisi, Raptors' mum was quite small. Funny chook still sleeping outside but if he is happy it should be fine there is no accounting for chooks...

Chances are all the new mini Mollies will have a fair amount of Roos' but can only hope.. Happy Birthday and glad you are taking a break, studying can really get you down. I know my daughter went through it and was quite exhausted by the time exams came round.. still it all pays off in the end...

@Maree Mongoose are a real pain, mine chew thru the wire, we have triple crossed it but they have amazing teeth - luckily mine don't go for the chooks but will sneak an egg - actually got to the stage where I shop bought eggs and left them out it seemed to work and then my siamese went after them he protects the chooks during the day and they are locked up tight at night. Just have to keep an eye out they are sneaky little creatures.

CF - Sending stuff on Monday so should be there late next week, if not pinched lol Got quite a parcel of goodies going so will get hubby to phone when it arrives.

Thanks all for the good wishes really appreciate it, very miserable here and the weather is absolutely AWFUL the only good thing is when you switch on the light it works and constant hot water but at his stage would trade for load shedding and that is saying something

@whoop whoop I kind of just assumed he was a standard so I got standard hens, shouldn't be a problem though? Especially with Cochins. I guess I have to do some research about it to see if I need to keep him separate so he bigger girls don't hurt him, and if I should get him some bantam girls

From what I can tell they can go together and they won't fight, and their babies will be medium sized, slightly more towards the mums size so that will be ok and I will be keeping them all together, might get some more bantams later on for him and a LF roo for the girls, and then separate the two flocks, but that'll only be much later and finding any Cochins here is just a mission :(

@Gwyllm well if all goes well with mini Molly III you can have some of her hens if you like just have to see what hatches, I'm not in charge
Hubby is and has redesigned their area with a patch of small stones for when it rains and special edible turf and god knows what, he is
