Chicken breeds that lay eggs less frequently but lay longer

Pics
I don't think bantams are right for me. I have a flock of 11 chickens, so I think the bantams would get picked on. Where I live we have coyotes and raccoons, but I never see them. We also have hawks. But predators aren't a big problem, we have NEVER had a predator kill a chicken and we have had chickens for almost 7 years!

Hello! I am expanding my flock of chickens and will be getting chicks this spring, I want chicken breeds that lay eggs less frequently but lay for longer. I also want chicken breeds with less health issues. Thank you for any recommendations!
i have 10 Blue Saphire get 5 to 7 eggs a day year around

I was just looking at Andalusians! Does anyone have experience with them? I am going to add these chicks to a flock of 2 Barred Rocks and 2 EEs, one of the EEs is a rooster.
I’ve had Blue Andalusians off and on for years. I love the hens. They are great foragers, non-flighty, lay medium-sized off white egg. In my experience, the males, although beautiful to look at, are more aggressive than other breeds.

I just ordered chicks from Ideal Poultry and they are shipping February 23! I got 2 Dominiques, 3 Easter Eggers, and 2 Welsummers. I wanted some Blue Andalusians but they weren't available, I will probably get some later in the year. I hope my chicks arrive safely!

How exciting! They will give you a pretty basket! If you want the Andalusians in that group, keep an eye out a day or two before as sometimes they have a hatch of more than expected and you can call and stick 1 or 2 in your order! ❤️
