Chicken can't stand or walk, paralyzed??

Ethel would LOVE plain yogurt with fresh blueberries in it! She will make a huge mess but love it. Let us know how long once you figure it out how long she has been on the cephalexin. Glad to hear our sweet girl continues to gain weight and thrive in your care!!

Rock on Ethel!!
So, Ethel has been on the cephalexin since about the 10th or 11th of April. So 2 and 1/2 weeks. I guess. I forgot to pick up her yogurt but my mom had some strawberry yogurt at her house and she stuck her nose in it and shook it off. She did not like that at all. I'm going to try to remember to get some plain yogurt and put actual blueberries in it instead of a strawberry flavored yogurt. She does like her blueberries. When I buy her a container of mixed fruit she gets watermelon cantaloupe, pineapple and honeydew and blueberries and yesterday I bought her a kiwi. As far as how she is doing, she's doing great. I have noticed a little bit of diarrhea, not liquidy but more like pudding. Just taking it one day at a time for now.

How is Ethel?
She is still doing good. She will not eat yogurt, so I'm not sure how long I should leave her on the cephalexin being that it's been right at 3 weeks that she's been taking it and won't eat the yogurt. I have backed off to giving her less fruit since apparently it was causing some diarrhea but she's still doing great. Thanks for asking

Incredible!

There is no need to continue with the cephalexin. It's likely done all it can do at this time.

The behavior of the chicken patient is indication of how well the antibiotic is working. With such positive results, it's apparent the ceph has done its job.
I do still feel with my hand up under her vent in between her legs and instead of being soft and squishy I can still feel a hard mass in there which seems to be pretty consistent, One day at a time!

And thank you very much for promptly updating whenever someone asks. Hilariously, I'll just be sitting here working and think, "I wonder how Ethel is doing?" I think she will forever live in all of our hearts!

That is all any of us can do- chickens or humans! As long as she is enjoying her little chicken life I would say you are doing great!
