Was she egg bound? Or just had one in the system that she hadn't laid yet? Did she break her wing trying to get around? Sorry for the questions, just trying to understand everything that happened with your bird, every case is different, and I try to learn as much as I can from each. In the future when you necropsy, there are many people here who can sometimes help you figure things out if you want to post pictures, sometimes people spot things with organs that can help narrow things down. Lots of fat may mean you need to take a look at what you feed. Too many treats like scratch can contribute, larger breeds that are less active can accumulate more too.
