Chicken can't walk

I'm very sorry for your loss. :hugs
Was she egg bound? Or just had one in the system that she hadn't laid yet? Did she break her wing trying to get around? Sorry for the questions, just trying to understand everything that happened with your bird, every case is different, and I try to learn as much as I can from each. In the future when you necropsy, there are many people here who can sometimes help you figure things out if you want to post pictures, sometimes people spot things with organs that can help narrow things down. Lots of fat may mean you need to take a look at what you feed. Too many treats like scratch can contribute, larger breeds that are less active can accumulate more too. Thanks for letting us know, sorry she couldn't be helped.

I don't think she was egg-bound - just one egg and 1 yolk. Next time, I should have another adult around who can take pictures. I was trying to get it done quick (husband is out of town, kept kids entertained with TV, 3 year old came out in the middle. 5 year old understood it was for the bird's benefit - and that he wanted NO part of it.)

She was a Brahma, but the smaller of the two (mixed flock, one large Brahma). I've been rather liberal with the treats (table scraps and slightly withered fruit, mostly - plus the odd bit of cut corn, frozen watermelon, and oats). We're cutting back.
