Chicken 'Catnip'

My run has no grass in it and not being able to freerange them, I pull the freshest most tender spring grasses and clovers for them everyday. They go absolutely nuts over it. Also we have several pine trees that drop needles and the ground below it mulches to a delicious peatiness that is always chock full of worms and all kinds of yummy bugs. I like to fill a 5 gallon bucket with all I can scoop up and dump that in their run. They go gaga scratching and picking all the goodies out of it.

I'm going to hang a cabbage this weekend and also I want to see what they think about a bowl of oatmeal. I've never given them oatmeal.

I would have loved to see the Moleball game. I wonder what was going through the moles mind? I can guess what was coming out the other end!

Thankfully the molelet was dead already. Eek!

MattyP- I could be really hateful and say that they were in Black and Gold or in red and white.

I realize that moles are perhaps harder to come by (although you are welcome to come by my house and take as many as you want), but you should definitely try the tuna. It's good stuff!

Well, I just tried the tuna. I can confirm it IS like chicken crack. It was like a mini mosh pit in there. Next time I will have to spread it around so they don't fight over it. It was very funny. My DW was very amused at all the fussing.

Okay y'all I have a question. I know cows munchin' on wild roses and onions makes for some funky tasting milk, so...does tuna make for funky tasting eggs?
