Wow that's quite a set up! We talked about chunnels when we built our coop but I'm glad we waited as i now need to expand both runs and coops.
We too waited until they got settled in their secure run. Then we felt like they needed more space but only had it down the hill. So we built this over the last several weekends and open it up when we are outside. Feels good to give them more space and more secure than just letting them out when we are out there. Just saw a bald eagle in our neighborhood today so we really try to keep our girls safe!

This is awesome! Looking at making a Chunnel. I don’t know how else to keep my girls safe. I’ve lost 4 in 16 months and it’s devastating. They have been on lockdown for 2 weeks and it’s miserable.. for me and them! Is there a reason you only use the Chunnel when you are outside instead of free access?
The chunnel in the photos is made of chicken wire and would be an easy way in for almost any predator ... especially with all night to get through.
