Progress is never as fast as you would like.
Day 4- I've got about 3/4's of the third wall built yesterday and at the end of the day realized that I made a design error/measurement on the roof line of the chicken coop area.
I'm splitting my roof into two different levels, the storage/nursery room will match our carport roof line but the chicken coop area will be 19" higher than the storage/nursery roof so we have the additional head room in there.
Well when I was facing the carport from the front side, I realized that the chicken coop roof section is not correctly built for the proper slope.
So this morning I will be taking a section down and rebuilding it again.
Went to Lowe's last night and picked up the final amount of 2 x 4's that I was going to need to finish framing all the walls and also picked up the rafter material ( 2 x 6 x 14') for the chicken coop area.
Sue wants me to build a temporary chick cage for the Ring-necked Pheasants this morning also. Going to slap something together so they can have a little more room than the containers we are currently housing them in right now.
I'm hoping to get all the walls done today and most (if not all) the rafters up. If all goes well and I get done early, I'll run to Lowe's and get the plywood and felt to cover the roof.
I'll post up additional photos this evening some time. My target date for having the outside covered is next weekend and I hope I can get at least 90% of the Chicken Coop area done also, I'm running out of time quickly won't be another 2 weeks and we'll might have 24 more keets, so I need to move the RNP's into the coop area soon.
It would sure help to have blue prints to work from.
My head hurts from retrieving all the data from my brain as I go along on this project.
