I am a newbie and would like to thank everyone who has given me advice. I really appreciate all the tips.

I was looking to start with 4-6 chickens. Starting small to get acclimated. I advertised in local FB forums and looked on Craigslist and local TSC and RKO. Yes the kits are not worth it so I decided to keep looking. Prices were all over the place even for used coops.

Being alone is a problem as my late husband was so handy and I feel everything is going to work out. A lady from a neighboring town, I live in mid Ohio, contacted me and was so kind to send me a picture of a coop she is interested in selling. There are good people out there!

Her husband offered to deliver it also. I am so grateful to her and just wanted to share this act of kindness with you all. I am posting a pic of the coop as it was 2 years ago and it’s in great shape. The couple expanded their flock so they were able to sell this one to me.

Thanks again for encouragement and tips!
