Nova... thanks, glad you like it!

Katsdar... I don't remember making trees out of catalogs but feel that I've seen pictures of it being done. I used to LOVE when the catalogs arrives so i could go thru the toy section and pick out what I wanted for Christmas; we could pick as many as we wanted but knew we'd only get one so we had to select carefully :) Oh and I'm in the ornament swap too, can't wait to see what everyone made. Of course, no one posted pics of mine from the last two swaps not sure if they were technologically challenged or didn't like what they'd received

The salve has.........

Comfrey
Lavender
Calendula <---------- I infused the dry herbs in the olive oil!
Chamomile
Oregano

Beeswax
Olive oil

I also added a little lavender essential oil.

*******************************************************************
The coop cleaner (which smells really good)

White vinegar
Orange peel
Lime peel
(or you could use lemon)
Mint (I used apple Mint) optional!!!

I have seen some people add a Cinnamon stick

Put peels and mint in a Mason jar then fill the rest of the jar up with white vinegar (NOT APPLE CIDER VINEGAR!!!!!)

Shake it every other day for 1 month!!! (it's a bummer to wait so long

itsmechrissy I think they were challenged, you are in the last ornament swap right, post a pic here I would love to see what you made I'm sure it is just wonderful. There were a lot that didn't post pics. Oh and it was wonderful to go through the catalogs, my husband and I were talking and they don't even advertise toys on the tv like they used to do. Sad I think, but for the book Christmas tree, we used the big telephone books mostly, but fold the page to down to the center and keep going till all pages are done, pull covers together secure with glue, paper clips, tapes etc, and get your green spray paint and lightly coat, make a star for the top and you just kept your brood (two legged ) busy for a couple of hours.

So my only suggestions for making egg ornaments (when kids are helping) would be to blow out the eggs then give them some......

Paint
Glitter
Plastic gem stones
Glue
Feathers
Dye
Stickers
Markers

And let them go

You could even get clear or colored plastic wrap and wrap your decorated egg to look like a wrapped candy

not sure how you would do a hanger though maybe hot glue it on.

Oh and by the way SO SO SORRY for your loss
