Chicken Dummy seeking Mentor

LoL I will send the dog.. Rebel removed 7 from here the first week. Haven’t seen any in 6 months.
I have one. Ruger is my coon eliminator. He's gotten two so far this month. Last year he brought us 6 throughout the summer and fall. He was inside the night the mink attack happened. I don't know that he would have caught it if he'd been out. It dug in under the coop into the closed run, went in the pop door. Yes, the pop door is shut at night now.

Update: Neighbor stopped in- he lost 9 ducks yesterday to a cougar. It was caught on game camera.
When I read about your birds' carcasses being stacked, I wondered about a cat - I was thinking bobcat more than cougar, though. Where do you live? Are cougars common?

Yes. Thank god. My husband is a small - big game hunter. Very concerned about the dog and small children

Not at all common. I’m in SE Michigan. I’m wondering if it was a bobcat but appeared larger. Sometimes it’s hard to judge size?! The Dept of Nat Resources is reviewing. My husband has hunted bobcat and seen cougars (out of state) on hunts. He thought it looked like a bobcat - size stature and ears. The tail isn’t visible. No tracks. Very manicured lawns over here.

There have been cougar sightings out here on the prairie, too, but they are not common that I know of. A couple of years ago, a friend of mine found one of her horses with claw marks on the hind quarters that the DNR said looked like maybe a cougar had gotten it. Horse wasn't killed, but it took a while to heal. Bobcats are also uncommon here, but not unheard of.

In Michigan bobcats are around hunted in the winter. Guided hunts advertised at the local diner. Being from the suburbs I’m not to familiar with their attributes.

We spoke with a few others and most are dealing with daylight raids. Ducks, chickens, Peacock’s, pheasants, and a swan. A few barn cats are missing but not uncommon this time of year. One other trail cam got a shot and it appears to have no tail but is a horrible angle far away dusk pic. I don’t believe my dog would go after a cougar. Bobcat - heck yeah - he’s not a cat fellow...

There’s a new sheriff in this town
