Chicken Dying as I Post This.

I'm shocked by this forum I'm home alone an only 16 and I would just really like some support right now guys I have no one here to comfort me.

I'm truly sorry for the loss of your hen, and I'm sure you're thinking and saying things that you normally would not. I have no doubt she'll be truly missed, and I hope the lab can pinpoint the exact cause of her death. I truly am sorry; that must have been horrible for you to face all by yourself.

That being said, there is no real reason to be "shocked by this forum". This forum is full of very caring, genuinely kind, and nice people. The time difference between your first post and second post was 37 minutes...and in the middle of the night to most people. The forum usually picks up around 7am+ and goes onward from there.

I am very sorry for the loss of your hen, and sorry that you had to go through this by yourself. Take some comfort in knowing you did all you could do to help her pass as easily as possible. There isn't much else that can be done in the middle of the night. Hopefully the vet will be able to give you some answers. As rough as this experience was for you, don't waste the pain, learn from it and the first thing you should learn is that instinctively you did right and you can get through it. I do so hope that there is something in the near future that will help you smile a bit when you think back on this night.

I am so sorry about your hen.

I think most of us were sleeping, so that's why you didn't get any support. Sorry that none of us could be there for you. As sad as it is, I have learned a lot about the dying process from doing what you did and I applaud you for doing it. Again, sorry for your loss.

I am very sorry for your loss, you are such a good mommy. I lost 3 bunnies this year & our canary. I believe in reincarnation & that is a comfort to me. Everything comes back, love doesn't "go away" with death, It grows every day. I am lighting a candle for you & your beloved chicken, it is flapping around happily on the Rainbow bridge. Love & Much PEACE to you & your beloved HEART.

Thank you do taking the time to write. You are right it was very unfair for me to say that and I am truly sorry. Her death was just so sudden and with both my parents gone I couldn't even take her to the vet. Once again I am very sorry about the previous post.
Thank you
Jackson

So very sorry for your loss - she was not alone as you took her inside, kept her warm and comforted her - you did all that anyone could have done in the circumstances - It is hard being alone with one of our loved ones when we could do with some reassurance from others....

There are many of us here who feel the pain you went through and are still going through in your loss.....

We are here for you!
