Hello,

My hen ate rat poops this morning.
Will she get sick?
Does she need to be treatment now before she become sick?
What can I treat her with?
Thank you in advance.

Your chicken has indiscriminate tastes. You need to have a talk with her.

While rat turds are rich in various kinds of bacteria and viruses, the tiny amount the hen ingested likely will not be enough to make her sick. But that does depend on her having a healthy immune system.

You should keep an eye on her behavior. If she shows signs of lethargy and if her poop becomes watery or loose, then she may need to be given an antibiotic. You can order it here without a prescription. https://hardypaw.com/products/fix-mox-amoxicillin-capsules-fish-antibiotics?variant=44787640008865 The dose is 250mg two times a day for seven to ten days.

Thank you. Is it the same 30 days egg withdrawal?
