Let's start actually role-playing!

Here is the background. (thanks @orloffer)

It had been a week since the coyote had first investigated the coop. He had come in the dead of night, hungry, eager to get his paws on any living creature small enough to take down. Fortunately for the flock, their coop was completely predator-proof, and the coyote, try as he might, could not get in. He vowed, however, that he would not give up, and a few days later, he rashly returned during mid-day.

The flock always free ranged during the day, and this time the coyote would have gotten his supper, had the keeper not suddenly spied the sneaky predator through the kitchen window and come running to shoo him off.

Now, the flock was grateful to their keeper for deterring their biggest enemy, but they loved free ranging and absolutely despised being confined to the run. So when they heard the keeper speaking of having to lock them up for safety, they grew quite worried.

The roosters of the flock planned a Flock-wide Meeting to discuss the problem:

Despite our sharp beaks, shiny tails, and long talons, every one of us is deathly afraid of that coyote. However, we are absolutely determined to keep free ranging. The topic of discussion today is this: how can we convince our keeper that we don't have to be shut up in the run all day, while at the same time protecting ourselves? We need a solution before our keeper--or the coyote, for that matter--makes any moves.

Leola, the Easter Egger, woke up and stretched her wings. She jumped down lightly from the roosting bar and walked over to the waterer to quench her thirst. "I hope the keeper will let us out soon--I want my favorite nest box. Someone else stole it yesterday," she thought to herself. "And oh--isn't today the meeting about the coyote problem?" Leola shuddered at the mere thought of the flock's most formidable enemy.

"Good heavens, everyone," Leola said quietly, "you'll wake the roosters. Do quiet down a bit, Tillie, please, and all you chicks too. Patience is the key here."

"Im sorry, i just wasn't born to be patient unfortunately" she said stumbling over a bucket.
"Hello everyone" said Bunty softly (Buntys the polish bantam sorry i forgot to put her name) "What time is the meeting today" she said, slowly walking over to the Waterer, she looked at Leola expectantly, as she had heard her talking about it just now.

"I hear it is to take place this afternoon, when everyone is present and no one is in the nesting boxes," Leola responded. "The roosters will decide the exact time--I'm not sure if they have yet."

Suddenly, the chicken coop door opened. The roosters hopped down from the roosts. The chickens got into their pecking-order line. The Keeper tossed in a handful of scratch, but didn't let the chickens out. They began squawking in indignation!
"Sorry, guys, not today," the Keeper said. "You might get eaten by the coyote!"
