It can hurt or help depending on a lot of different things. Personally, I prefer not to use it because I’ve had a bad experience with it causing sour crop instead of preventing it. If you offer it always make sure she has plain water as an option too.
Apple Cider vinegar is ineffective against mites a lice. I put it in the waterers to help keep algae growth down, but thats about it. I've heard that it can give them a boost like electrolytes would, but I am honestly not sure if that is true.

In the summer I use ACV to keep algae growth down in the waterers. I honestly don't think it can be harmful, but not always beneficial. I also wouldn't feed it in large quantities.
Many people mean well but I think a lot of things get repeated so much it becomes the truth. So research beyond anecdotal accounts is important. Bene-bac is fantastic. I used it for a squab that came in with sour crop while he was on antifungals. It's also just good to have on hand.
