Does anyone know of a fertilizer that you can use that will help the grass grow but will not hurt chickens?

Quote:Yup, chicken poop. Let the girls loose in the yard. They eat the bugs, scratch around to dethatch it, and leave nitrogen rich fertilizer everywhere. I run multiple breeding pens(tractors), and everytime they get moved the grass comes back greener and lusher than it originally was.

Chickens are nothing more than feathered fertilizer producing machines.

I am an organic gardener, and the original reason that I got chickens was not either for their eggs or their meat, but for their manure.

There is no better fertilizer made by man or nature, than that which is created by the lowly chicken herself...
