Is that her vent? It's really hard to see exactly what's going on. Looks like a possible prolapse. So I went outside and found my silkie like this she has been fine but all of a sudden she looks like this I was absolutely shocked not sure what happened but does anyone know what to do she’s walking and eating fine not sure what to do.
I’m not very sure it’s her vent because she was getting pecked at a few weeks ago in that exact spot and quickly helped her and it was her back but I don’t know for sure if it’s her vent how do I tell?Is that her vent? It's really hard to see exactly what's going on. Looks like a possible prolapse.
I looked better with better lighting it’s definitely the tail that’s sticking out and a lot of blood is under it so not sure what I’m looking at but the thing that is sticking out is the tailThe picture is very hard to see anything. I'd move the feather to get a better look. You'll be able to see if it's something hanging out of her vent. She definitely can not go back with other chickens. She need brought inside. And clean her off to get a better look at what's going on. Chickens will peck at anything red.

Okay thank you I also have never dealt with anything like this and she’s such a sweet chicken so very unexpectedI'm hoping others come to suggest what to do. I've never had to deal with an injury like this. My best advice would be clean it gently with Vetericyn Spray and apply Neosporin. Chicken can heal from some terrible injuries. If she's eating and drinking that's a good sign. But she needs kept separate till she heals.
