Did you buy it online? If so, you should have registered for it, so should be able to trace proof back. I've not needed a a firmware update so not able to help. I also bought mine about 5 years ago, can still access my account from when I bought them.

Would anyone be willing to email me the firmware update?

Not sure it would help as the usb stick they send out has a battery connector so I guess the USB on the chicken guard isn't powered. Also can't be read by a Windows PC (or at least mine can't).

Having said all that, I'd completely forgotten about it - even after two years I haven't applied the update yet
