I have a hen, not eating or drinking, & not real active. She has a hard spot above her vent. That area looks kind of red and irritated. I'm soaking her in the tub w/ warm water & salt. The other chickens were pecking her a lot, not usual behavior. Any ideas how I can help her?

Welcome To BYC

Can you post some photos?

As suggested by @GypsyPoultry separating her so she isn't picked on is a good idea. This will also allow you to monitor her behavior, foot/water intake and general well being.

If you have vet care available that would be best.

There can be so many things that go wrong with chickens, it's hard to know. Keep her hydrated and offer her some hard boiled egg or tuna in addition to her normal feed.

Feel her abdomen to see if it feels swollen and check her crop to see how that feels as well.

Let us know how she is doing.
