Looks like most of us have snakes hanging around, and often around or in the henhouse. Some one told me a long time ago that Dark Cornish would kill a snake and people would keep them just for that reason. I'm just wondering which breeds of chickens would at least run one off. Some guineas will harrass snakes or kill them. Wondering about chickens.

    Anyone?

I don't know about chickens, but I do know that guineas will. We've had several small snakes killed by the guineas; not eaten, just pecked to death....

i would say the buckeyes, cornish, malay, asil, shamo, and some other gamebirds would try to attack the snake
ive also heard that geese and ducks will stomp on the snake
