Chicken has a cold?

Are they sneezing constantly? My chickens sneeze almost every day. If you think they have a little cold, put some save-a-chick probiotics or electrolytes in their water. It could be a respiratory infection.

Sneezing and coughing can be a sign of infectious bronchitis, mycoplasma, and other respiratory diseases. Do you notice any swelling around an eye or face, crusty drainage of eyes, or nasal discharge. Make sure that your coop has a lot of ventilation, since a lack can help cause disease and their spread. An antibiotic such as oxytetracycline or Gallimycin may help symptoms, but sometimes these diseases may make carriers of your flock. Here is a good link to read about some of these diseases: http://edis.ifas.ufl.edu/ps044

There are many respiratory issues in chickens. Some include mycoplasmosis, infectious coryza, infectious bronchitis, avian influenza, Newcastle diesease, (very rare.) fowl cholera and infectious laryngotacheitis. (ILT. ) Your's probably have infectious bronchitis. Has egg production gone down?
