Chicken has a red and irritated back, please help!!

:welcome
She has had it for about 2 months, but she continues to act normal. her feathers seem to be growing in, but then they aren't.
I would guess that flock mates are removing the pin feathers as they start to grow in. I'd try a hen saddle to protect her back.

she seems to be getting better, slowly, but surely. just wondering if there is anything I can do to speed up the healing process.
I wonder if they were molting since their feathers are growing back in.

I put mine on a higher protein feed, from layer feed to an all-flock for a few weeks. It's got less calcium so I put out a dish of oyster shell on the side.
