Hello, my two-year-old chicken has an impacted crop that I noticed 5 days ago. On day 2, I isolated her & started massaging her crop 3 times a day. I have given her various doses of Epsom salt in water, tomato juice, plain yogurt, scrambled eggs with lots of olive oil, and water with probiotics. While the crop has halfway emptied, there is still a dense mass in her crop. She is passing some liquid and I just found round worms a liquidly poop. I wonder if the mass is actually round worms. I have Safe-Gaurd and am ready to treat the entire flock for round worms. My original plan was to clear the impacted crop, then put all the chickens in a coop for 5 days while being treated for round worms. (I decided to keep them in a closed coop during treatment so I could monitor their intake of the medication.)
Should I move forward with my treatment plan now, rather than delay treatment while I keep working on her crop?
