Mottled or paint chicks, the mottling carries through everywhere on them, even their beaks.
So actually I found the eggs in my neighbor's yard and they let me keep them to incubate. They thought they were duck eggs so I treated them and incubated them like ducks. I found them in the wet rain and I did a float test as well. 19 days later one pipped and just a few hours after day 19 it hatched! So definitely chickens! My neighbor has like over 10 different chicken breeds but only has 2 types of roosters. One rooster is a tiny bantam and the other is an Ayam Cemani. I don't know about you but I think the father is the Ayam Cemani... I have no idea what the mother is though...
