chicken having trouble pooping

my Buff mix has been having trouble pooping for about a month now. she seems to be straining to poop ever since we took her chicks away after she went back to laying eggs after being broody. she's laying eggs no problem and has been for the past month. Ive just noticed recently that she seems to be straining more and more each time she poops. Any reason why she might be staining? I just bought new feed today and got her started on that since the old food started to smell a little funky and had some bugs in it. could the bad food be a reason as to why she isn't passing waste properly? other then the straining she is acting completely normal. She's eating, foraging, roasting, laying and acting like her self. I fed her some organic greek yogurt today and was planning on cooking up eggs later for her so she could get some good food in her body. Is this a wise idea? Any advice would be appreciated!
