As posted above adaptations are a must for any plan, but I wonder if the person who wrote the plan article perhaps had a fenced yard with several outdoor dogs that prevented most if not all predators from even thinking of getting close to the coop plus if they can't see the chickens and the way the deep pile method reduces the scent I wonder if that also helps curb any curiosity...
