Chicken Incubation Help !

It is day 20 of incubation and one of my eggs has began hatching. It’s beak is out of the shell. It has been 10 hours but it has only hatched a little bit (picture below after 10 hours of first pip) I ran into a problem and had to open my incubator. Ants got in and I tried my best to remove them. Is there any way that me opening my incubator is causing it to stay the way it is ?? Chick is still chirping

Opening incubator can cause shrink wrapped chicks but i’ve opened the incubator before for a short while whilst upping humidity and mine were just fine! Try not to worry, it’s very stressful but if you can hear the chick then that’s a good sighn. After the first pip they do take a big rest and start to break the rest of the shell around 12-16 hours later. After 24, i’d maybe help it but don’t always recommend as survival chance is slim due to them being weak. See how it goes. Fingers crossed for you!
