My 23 week old Leghorn drank a small amount of oil, maybe a beakfull. How bad is this, and is there anything I can do to help her? All I've done is put her in a milk crate so I don't have to catch her again.

Was it used or new?5W30 sythentic oil.
It was used. Was it used or new?
If it was new, she's probably just fine.
Thanks, I'll do that.I agree, with DobieLover. If it was only a small amount, and no additives such as antifreeze the bird should be fine. If she were mine, I'd continue to keep her in a confined area with feed and water provided so I could better monitor her symptoms and feces. Encouraging her to drink electrolytes such as Gatorade may be beneficial. Please continue to keep us posted on her condition.
