Chicken just showed up?? ****NOW "Big Chickens Story" a story of a found chicken***lol

Im hanging in there...I'll miss her but I know she's home now.

Back to BC ...sounds like she's home too...I'd still padlock the Coop door

LOL seems I always end up with the odd balls and throw aways! I have Big Chicken of course. But I also just took in a 35! year old horse that the owner was not able to feed. I have an Opossum that's mom was killed when it was still eyes closed and mouth closed. Three dogs that someone threw away that are the most loyal dogs I have ever seen. But had to gain their trust too. Ive had fawns, hawks, raccoons...lol you name it. I don't know what I would do with an animal that came to me "Uncracked" I always know though that just cus there is a crack. Don't make a thing broken.
We also have throw away cats, yard dogs who happened upon us, a horse that the owner said would "never amount to anything",(brought her to me to be a companion to our mare who was despondent after the loss of her colt) and they are all healthy and happy. They, along with the chickens, make my life complete!! Thank goodness for a long suffering hubby who just shakes his head and accepts it when another animal appears...

LOL the coop has electric wire run round it at night! And trust me...my dogs are better than any padlock! But as for you...Yes my dear. She is home now. BUT she will also live on in you and and her family for eternity! As long as you have a memory of her pass it on!! Whomever you pass that on to can pass it on as well. THAT is eternal life. I know you are hanging in there but know you are also in my thoughts. Glad you crossed my path.

Salmon faverolle are close in resembling Easter eggers...they have beard...muff...5 toes and feathered shanks(legs)

Does BC have 5 toes and feathered legs

Amen to men who just shut up about it lol. When the Opossum came to us he just went out and bought it formula lol. He knows that there is no way I would leave it to die. Lots of nights getting up every three hours to feed it and he never complained. But its cus he knows it would do no good lol. I feel like....no matter if you can save them or not. The time you give is what counts. I take in a lot of senior animals that owners no longer want. just to give them a dignified and loving exit...
