What a difference a day can make! The little roo bantams left last night and today the entire flock seemed much more laid back. Even the reds. LOL even the ducks. I was even able to reach down and pet a few of the RIR's. Big Chicken came running for scraps and got her fair share. Goldie our smaller Orp seems to be growing a comb! And even the RIR girls seem to be darker in the face although they still have a few months to go. Goes to show you what happens when there are to many Rooster in the coop lol. Males have a way of working ya up.

Sorry things been a little topsy turvey here lately lol. Big Chicken is doing great!! Yesterday she was in with the flock and even came running when she saw me. I was working in the yard and sat on a stump to take a break and set my cup of water between the feet. Course all the chickens ended up drinking out of it lol. BUT Big Chicken did too!!!! I just stayed real still and talked to her. Felt like something special to have her actually expose the back of her neck not inches from me. Today came up for scraps and was even eating head to head with another pullet. Seems like she has found her place in the flock!! She even pecked around my feet for dropped stuff. She will still run if I move to fast but not like she used to. More like a regular chicken lol. And dare I say I THINK her comb is getting redder. and around her eyes...we will see. Also Goldie my other Buff Orp is getting very red in the face and her comb is starting to grow. Yesterday I heard one of the duck do an actual quack. And to top it off!!! Today my Rooster Crowed!!
I needed it after the last few days lol.
OH. The ducks were given to me and I have no idea what they are lol. I think they are Swedish?

Oh I'm so happy that she's fit in and accepted you ..it does feel good doesn't it...she's come a long way in a short time..
The ducks are adorable...maybe time will expose their breed.
Fantastic..I can't wait for BC to start laying...
I got 13 eggs yesterday..I broke one..
