Chicken just showed up?? ****NOW "Big Chickens Story" a story of a found chicken***lol

Big Chicken passed away in her sleep last night. I never knew her age and I believe she had a stroke. She spent yesterday and last night wrapped up and warm on her lil heating pad, We spent time loving on her. In the beginning she came to us a terrified creature. She left us knowing love and security. I want to thank all of you who have followed Big Chickens journey even though the journey ended way to soon.

I'm so sorry for your loss...it makes my heart heavy...funny how these critters imprint on us...I never saw BC but come to love her as my own.
Hugs and prayers for you and your family my friend...
Her story is not over...you have yet to write it...

Thank you. So odd and sad to not see her at lock up tonight. I actually was about to go look for her when I did not see her in the coop. She came from "out there" to us. Changed from a terrified critter into a pet. Showed me and many others that fear can be left in the past. That you can learn to trust again. That you don't have to cost a million bucks to be worth something. I saw a lot of me in that silly chicken. I am working on her story. It may take some time but her story will someday be out there for others to hear. Again I thank you all for following her story. She has a son....He will carry her on and on. And if we talk of her. Tell her story to others, take what we need from it and pass it on. She will live forever.

I just read this whole thread..... laughing, angry at dumb dog owner, yay BC is a mommy!, and crying. I totally fell in love with Big Chicken. Thanks for sharing her story. It was wonderful.

So I just sat here all day reading your story... sorry BC is gone! Her story is justification enough to raise chickens though, thanks so much for sharing. Been awhile since I read something that made me laugh as much as picturing the guy trying to catch her! She wasn't having any of it! I would prefer to live at your house too lol I really hope you get the book out. Her owner that came over--I am picturing a Mr. McGregor type character that she ran away from! Also if you have pictures of her son... please post!

Just finished reading this (3hrs) later and my daughter talking to me the whole time about anything and everything so I iust nodded :)

I had a rooster named poopy butt (he was my baby) we gave him away because of the crowing. He actually only crowed around 7am.

Any way if you are still here I'm so happy big chicken ended up loving you and she became a mommy but so sad that she died...

How is your book coming?
