Chicken keeps falling over! Help!

I actually have a similar problem with one of my hens--maybe it has been going around a lot lately...yikes! U should isolate her immediately from the other hens (and rooster if u have one) I u go to the search engine of BYC and search "Ryan A" (my profile) u will see a thread I made yesterday called Varicella chicken--help! I accidently said Varicella, but I meant Marek's! I think our chickens have Marek's disease and that it is spreading like Covid! PLease do what I said about isolating her because that is pretty darn important so that the other birds don't catch it because Marek's is super-duper contagious! Over and out!

Vitamins are good to give along with an antibiotic. If you are treating with Corid also, you need to avoid vitamin B1, (thiamine) since coccidia thrive on thiamine and it would counteract the effectiveness of the Corid.

My goodness... you are too sweet! I appreciate that so much! We are basically the same today. Gertie is free ranging with girls, just slower. She is eating and enjoyed yogurt today! She still is keeping herself away from flock a bit. Here she is today!

Continuing with amoxicillin for 8 more days and going to give her a little sugar water today. She is not a good patient when it comes to water... pills are easier!

Do you think Gertie could have worms? I don’t see any worms in her poo... it is yellowish tho... very very light yellow... nothing weird like worms inside it...? I’m not treating for worms... just amoxi.. thoughts?

If I treat for worms what do you recommend and can I continue the amoxi with worm treatment? I assume I treat all my girls at the same time? I wish I had an exact diagnosis so I knew what I was doing was right

You can worm any time. It's not a bad idea to cover that base. It won't affect the antibiotic.
