So much conflicting advice about treat giving.. I know so many chicken owners who give left overs daily... fruits and veggies daily and their chickens are not sick or dying. I personally am done with treats, I think that’s good advice but I don’t think I’ve caused my girls irreversible harm.I only have four!I just fill that up and that’s it for the day. They certainly don’t eat it all.
Update on Gertie! She seems to be doing better and that I’m grateful for! Not 100% herself but better!So much conflicting advice about treat giving.. New update... Gertie while hanging in there doesn’t seem great past few days..
I noticed she is SO skinny! She is eating and drinking lots of water but still so skinny and lethargic. She will free range with girls but just so much slower. I finished a round of amoxicillian and I give her vitamins... considering giving her a dewormer just in case... maybe Corid? She is resting with me today... 
Well friends... wanted to update you all who have helped me so much with sweet Gertie. She has passed
I woke to find her gone this morning. Thank you all for the kind, encouraging words. She is our first chicken loss so we’re pretty sad. So grateful for this community of people who care!
