Chicken laid weird egg

My 23 week old RIR has been laying for a couple weeks perfect;y fine eggs, untill today she laid an egg that was very long in shape and when you cracked it open it was a bit bloody and the yolk didnt look anything like a yolk, it was more like a peach pit, it was gross. Is that normal?

You didn't happen to take a picture of it, did you?

My new rule of thumb is, anytime anything odd happens....i document it so i can seek help. Without a picture, it's just a guessing game!

Is it possible she got into cottonseed and/or cottonseed oil or cattle rations? Cottonseed can cause pink whites and thick rubbery yolks.

I have long eggs with thick egg white and orange yolks, so who knows...
