Chicken legs paralyzed after injury and fly strike

Continue the sugar water over the next 24 hours. It would not surprise me if this revived her and she is back to normal behavior by tomorrow.
Hi,

Well she seemed perkier yesterday but she's not very good today. She seems maybe in discomfort. I read I could give some aspirin....but then I was nervous as it said not if any internal injuries which I dont know.

Advise...she is sleeping but I feel like she could pass....💔

Can you post a photo? We might be able to tell you if she appears to be dying. Do you happen to have any people antibiotics on hand?

I will take a photo shortly . She was resting when I checked on her then got up to drink. But she just had a bright green poop with like a clear mucas. I proceeded to clean the other poops out she had done while I was out and 2 of them appeared to have kinda clotted blood in them....

That sounds like a case of coccidiosis. I suggest getting the whole flock started on a coccidiostat with the drench dose for this hen.

Are you in the US?

No I'm in Canada. None of the other hens are sick. Do you think thisnis caused from her injuries from the coon attack ad dhe had a large wound on her back. She also had been grabbed on the head no puncture but her eye was damaged. Looks like it is healing. I was thinking internal bleeding? It has only been the last 3 poops and it is kinda clotted looking

I have attached a pic of her wound not best pic as she started to kinda fuss. She has been perkier this afternoon bur now she is head drooped a bit. However she is also grooming herself a bit.

So should I stop the sugar water solution now. I am giving it still mixed with the vitamin water. I mixed a tiny bit of turmeric in with her food mash as I read it wad good for inflammation. I read it wad safe to give Could that have caused the blood in her poop?

Was the "blood" ruby red? Or was it more orange?

Is she able to stand and walk now?

How does the wound look? Any swelling and redness around the edges?

You can probably stop the sugar water. If there is diarrhea and listlessness, and if there is more ruby red blood in the poop, and if the poop is runny, you should start coccidiosis treatment. If you're in the US, buy Corid. It will say it's for sheep or pigs or cows, but it's for poultry, too.
