So i thought my girls were molting and could never see any critters but ive confirmed several have chicken lice! A couple are really bad. I bought permethrin to apply since neem oil and de hasnt worked. Im worried about getting the badly infested girls fully covered with spraying permethrin and was wondering about given them a bath in permethrin instead of trying to get them fully covered by spaying. It has warmed up here now so the girls could be outside to dry. Should i spray or just do the bath. Thank you for your help

I get Permethrin powder/dust as suggested. Place the powder in a sock and use that like a powder puff to pat over the bird releasing the powder. Work the dust all the way through the feathers to the skin.

Use your Permethrin spray to treat the coop, spray in nooks/crannies, nesting boxes, roosting bars, etc.
