Chicken math prevailed!

Pics
I know, so far, they're the fastest chicks we've got. Never seen one move so dang fast! Chicken Man really wanted yellow chicks he "didn't have to kill in a short time" so we opted for a few Leghorns. I had absolutely no idea that Foghorn Leghorn was a Leghorn chicken until we took the plunge into chicken world. Didn't know that a Leghorn was a breed! Opened up a whole new world for me! Lol!

Leghorns are my specialty.... Mine are so gentle and nice and live to jump on my lap

I have 2 silkies (small fluffy ones) and 3 lavender orpington (purple-ish blue ones bigger) and then i have an orange and bklack americauna and a leghorn mix (white one) (in the pictures) everyone else that i have are barnyard mixes, mostly between leghorns and bantams. and i have 1 EE mix

BARNYARD MIXES ARE THE BEST.... AT ONE POINT I HAD A PLETHORA ALL MIXES, SI MUCH FUN AND COLORS... AFTER 20+ years I've settled on Leghorns... They're actually REALLY NICE AND JUMP ON MY LAP AND COME WHEN CALLED.. ATLEAST MINE ARE LOL

YES! i love my leghorn mix- holly and blizzard, they are super sweet.. when i am sitting down and they sit on my lap lol.. when i'm standing they think i am some giant monster, i love my barnyard mixes they make the best pet chickens and the prettiest colors!

I breed for traits not breed standard, so I prefer my BLRWs to be splash laced, I pick fluffy footed, and fluffy faced chickens... don't care if they're purebred brahma, cochin, ameracauna, etc. My goal is fluffy faced & fluffy footed much like d'uccles... So it's safe to say we've got a large mix of purebreds and now crossbreeds(and I love them all).

Well chicken math prevailed. Ran by a TSC and just wanted to "look" at the chicks. The manager from the other store I frequent was there and made me a deal! Granted I had to go to the other store, but the first one didn't have what I needed anyway. Now 62 chicks later... We have RIR, white Longhorns, and Orpingtons! Supposedly all pullets. Time will tell about that. Figure I can sell some as they get older. They are a little over a week old.
