So. I have 4 two week old chicks currently.
And hubby has agreed to let me get two more this week. So they will be brand new.
I am brand new to this chicken thing (I love it, obviously!) But can I put the new babies in with the older chicks in the same brooder? Or do i need to move the older chicks to a different area and have only the 2 younger chicks in their own brooder?

Also. If anyone has any opinions or help on what to expect from a Sapphire Gem (one of the newbies I will be getting) that would be awesome! I've read they do well in hot climates, but I'm a little worried about how well she will handle the cold months here in Utah. TA!
