I understand the compulsion. I am having a really hard time resisting the duckies. I had Cayuga before and they are a pretty bird with a nice disposition.
Hubby told me to do whatever I want........ is that a green light I just got??????![]()
Makes me wonder what he is planning to get.![]()
So I picked up some Jersey Giants today. Came home with a 1 year old pair, 3 5 week olds, 3 3 week olds, 5 5 day olds and a dozen hatching eggs plus a bonusof a 10 week old Plymouth Barred Rock pullet.

LOL I think ours is a little lopsided though.
I neeeeeeded a new coop so told him if he helped me build it I would buy him a Harley. I got the new coop but I not he built the walls in a prefab fashion. He helped me raise the coop and he and his friend put the metal roof on. NOW HE did build the run for me. BUT he DID get a Harley.................. I neeeeeeeeedddd more chickens now or some ducks. Gotta get that leveled out.
I like Jersey Giants. I was wondering if the big JG roo would be more of a deterrent to hawks and owls.
He should deter something. He is the biggest chicken I have ever seen!
