Chicken "mutt" club!!!

Kismet all grown up. The second chick ever born in our flock. Daddy is an Easter Egger, mommy is a production red.

If you put a few feathers on her legs and it would be a dead ringer for my hen Bossey. She also is EE and comet.

I don't think I introduced you guys to my latest hatch including Rudy, my little chick who has beaten all odds just like his namesake from that one football movie (the only one I have ever liked)

Wow, Rudy is like a little dinosaur. The little chick looks like those chickens bred to be completely featherless. I think those are bred mostly for research at this point. I have rarely seen a chick's oil gland so exposed.

Had 3 red laying hens, out of 60 eggs to set I get one red chick and it is a boy!








This one I've been convinced from hatch is a girl, the white splotches are giving me pause, but for now I'm still thinking girl

Neat! I've got a birchen pullet that is about 15/16 weeks old. I think they need to meet for a rendevouz (however you spell it), when they are both old enough.

hi mutt lovers (im guessing )
i've got a few mutts, 1 roo thats silkie X white leghorn, 1 ross thats Silkies X austolp and a hen thats a silkie X austrolp.
im wondering if anyone on here has a silkie X austrolp hen as well, cos i'm not sure if shes syared laying or if its just my oter silke hen laying! would she lay austrolp eggs or silkie eggs??
